Jim Hammond’s Cruiser series of customs seemed like an ideal starting point in our development of a high-quality affordable lockback work folder. As the first custom knifemaker and Knifemakers’ Guild member to work with CRKT he understood the translation necessary to arrive at our production Cascade Lockback. The blade is a Hammond modified clip point shape hollow ground from 420J2 stainless steel with a bead-blast finish and available with a Combination Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point™ Serrated edge. For maximum comfort we used our Twin-Fused™ handle technology using a rigid injection-molded high-impact polycarbonate frame with a soft comfortable diamond-patterned injection-molded Kraton® grip for a firm safe hold. This build combined with the rounded handle cross section deep finger choil with guard pronounced butt pommel and blade thumb ramp with friction grooves results in one of the most secure and comfortable grips in any folder at any price.
